All the typical abilities a winger needs, always on hand to set up goals. Enjoying a fruitful spell at Burnley despite a stuttered start
With an abundance of pace, skill and crossing ability, right-winger Elliott was second only to Stoke City’s Liam Lawrence in terms of Championship assists in season 2007-08.
He started his career with Bournemouth in 2000, having been spotted playing for non-league Bashley by Jimmy Case, and he went on to make 212 appearances for the Cherries, scoring 36 goals.
Signed by former boss Steve Cotterill on a free transfer in 2005, Elliott took a while to settle but having finished season 2006-07 as the club’s Player of the Year, he has been a regular feature since.
