Has made a name for himself by scoring spectacular goals, Reid spent most of 2007 on the sidelines with a cruciate injury
Reid caught the eye as a flying winger with Millwall, breaking into the Republic of Ireland side and attracting the attention of then-Rovers boss Graeme Souness who had no hesitation in splashing out £1.85m for his services in the summer of 2003.
A change in manager also brought a change in position and under Mark Hughes, Reid adopted a more central role.
His all-action box-to-box performances soon made him a favourite with the Ewood Park crowd, but a back problem ruled him out of the opening half of 2006-07 season, while a cruciate ligament injury sustained on his comeback has made it a miserable couple of years for the Londoner.
