A reliable and hard-working centre back, Collins provides great cover for Hartlepool's back line.
Experienced defender Collins joined the Pools on deadline day in January 2008 for £65,000 from Hull City where he’d lost his first team place at the KC Stadium under Phil Brown. Strong and powerful, Collins immediately put his leadership qualities to good use at Victoria Park shoring up the Hartlepool rearguard excellently during the latter stages of the 2007/08 season. During his career, which began in 1994, Collins has played for Huddersfield Town, Bury, Port Vale, as well as making several appearances on loan for Swindon Town. A fully fit Collins is an invaluable asset to the Monkey Hangers’ squad.
