The striker turned left-back continues to show his class at this level and is still an attacking threat.
Former Sheffield Wednesday star Humphreys has been converted to a left-back in recent seasons from being a striker, a position where he made a name for himself with the Owls in 1996/97 scoring a number of important Premier League goals. A stalwart at The Vic since joining from Cambridge United in the summer of 2001, the burly full-back played a record 286 consecutive games for the Pools before his run came to an end in August 2006. Still a consistent name on the score sheet Humphreys enjoys attacking from the left flank and also regularly provides goal assists for the side too. Humphreys was named in the PFA Team of the Year for the 2006/07 season.
