Scored twice in the 2007 League Two Playoff final to help Bristol Rovers beat Shrewsbury, Walker’s aiming to repay his new employers

Joined the Shrews on a season-long loan for the 2008/09 campaign after falling out of favour at Bristol Rovers.

Walker will forever be remembered by the Gasheads for his brace in Rovers’ 2007 League Two play-off final victory over Shrewsbury.

The powerful Birmingham-born forward did score for Aston Villa against Arsenal during the early part of his career, but led a somewhat nomadic existence for the next four seasons, playing for Cambridge United, Blackpool, Wycombe, Northampton and Oxford before joining Bristol Rovers in 2004.

A natural goalscorer, Walker formed a prolific partnership with Junior Agogo for the Pirates before the Ghanaian was offloaded to Nottingham Forest.

frustrating for him to notch their second on Saturday. Although the game was lost in the 4th minute by the referee!
