Having moved from Donny to Derby, the Yorkshireman is ready for a new challenge having helped Rovers climb from the fifth tier to the second
An energetic, attack-minded player, Green can operate on the right of midfield or through the middle, as he did with distinction during his seven years with Doncaster Rovers.
He made his debut in a 2-2 draw with Northwich in March 2002 and over the following seasons played a key role in Rovers’ rise from the Conference to the Championship in 2008. In total he played 227 games for the club, scoring 33 goals and signing off at Wembley with the Play-Off Final win against Leeds United.
Offered a new contract by Rovers, he instead opted to make the switch to Pride Park.
