Attacking right-back who has come through the ranks at Plymouth. As good going forward as he is keeping opposition wingers at bay
Connolly emerged through the youth ranks at Argyle, making his debut on the final day of the 2000/01 season.
A powerful right-back who loves to break forward, his crossing ability in the final third is as good as his defensive instincts. A loan spell at non-league Bideford followed his debut but he made the breakthrough during the 2003/04 season, helping Plymouth to the League One title.
He initially shared the right-back spot in the Championship with Anthony Barness and David Worrell but later made the position his own. He joined Derby in May 2008 on a free transfer.
