Defender

The unyielding antipodean defender had a nightmare 2007/08, but will be hoping he can help the Foxes bounce back to the Championship

Kisnorbo started out with Melbourne club Essendon, then Bulleen but following the collapse of the Australian National League, he joined SPL side Hearts in 2003 and quickly cementing his place as a first team regular.

A leggy, dynamic and whole-hearted defender, who likes to break forward when the opportunity arises, he followed boss Craig Levein down to the Midlands and although starting out, uncomfortably, in midfield, he soon won the fans over with his solid partnership alongside Paddy McCarthy at the heart of the defence.

Season 2007-08 proved to be the Australian international’s most frustrating of late as harsh red cards, a lengthy knee injury and relegation took hold.

Very average defender. Not the quickest.

Good player should be too good for league one.

Good solid defender but out for a while with a nasty knee injury.

The only rock left from Leicester's excellent defence (despite relegation!) of last season, since Stearman and McAuley, and loanee goalkeeper Fulop, moved on. Will be missed until Christmas as he is out wih an injury, but at least we'll be keeping hold of him.
