Not usually known for his goal scoring prowess Agyemang made an instant impression at Loftus Road scoring eight goals in six league games
Having made his name as a pacy, powerful, awkward striker at Wimbledon, where he scored 20 goals in 120 appearances, Agyemang moved to Gillingham for £300,000 in 2004.
His spell at Priestfield was shortlived, however, and he joined Preston during the 2004-05 season, netting 21 goals in 123 appearances for the club.
That form earned him a recall to the Ghana squad, although he missed out on the final 23-man squad for the 2006 World Cup.
In January 2008 he returned to London for a fee in the region of £350,000 and made an immediate impact, netting eight goals in six league games – the richest spell of his career to date.
