With an impressive debut performance, and the first two goals of his carrier, Austin will hope to keep seeing first team play
Versatile full-back Austin progressed through the youth ranks at his hometown club Barnsley and, after making his Football League bow for the Tykes against Swindon in August 2002, went on to make over 150 appearances for the Oakwell outfit.
He was an unused substitute at the Millennium Stadium in 2006 as Barnsley defeated Swansea on penalties to win promotion to the Championship.
Comfortable on either the left or right side of defence, Austin joined the Quakers prior to the 2007/08 campaign and enjoyed a solid debut season as a regular in Dave Penney’s side as well as netting the first two goals of his career.
