A revelation at Wycombe where his goal a game ratio earned him a move to Forest. Not yet quite lived up to the hype
A former Reading youngster, Tyson’s career took off following a move to League Two Wycombe, where his unrivalled pace and superb finishing made him one of the most wanted strikers in the lower leagues.
After bagging 22 league goals in the 2004-05 season, he started the next campaign just as well, netting 13 in 13 games and was snapped up by Forest in November 2005 on loan, joining permanently for £675,000 the following January.
Keen to recapture his Wycombe form at the start of his first full season, Tyson suffered a knee injury which kept him out of action for much of the campaign and he has since suffered with hamstring problems. A dangerous attacking weapon when fit, by the end of 2007-08 he had scored 24 goals in 78 appearances.
