Midfielder

Pacy midfielder with defensive qualities makes for a winger or tenacious central midfielder. Looking to impose himself in the Saints first team

Dyer burst onto the scene with a debut goal and the Man of the Match award against Southend United in August 2005 – but was too young to drink the Champagne!

Equally comfortable out wide or through the centre, his pace, trickery and determination usually catch the eye, but he is also willing to track back and make important tackles.

Dyer repeated his debut-goal trick during a loan spell at Burnley later in the 2005/06 season but his appearances in a Saints shirt have been limited since, especially as the 2007/08 season saw him struggle with off-field problems.
