A former Red, Rose has trawled around the lower leagues but the left-footer hopes he and his team are on an upward trajectory
The Salford-born former Manchester United trainee was a key member of Jim Gannon’s defensive unit as County won promotion to League One via the play-offs in the 2007/08 season.
Rose left Old Trafford at the start of the Red Devils’ 2001/02 campaign, heading to then Conference outfit Chester City (where he played alongside his brother Stephen) before enjoying spells at Hereford, Yeovil, Cheltenham and Scunthorpe.
A set-piece expert with a wicked left foot, the left-back likes to pick out his team's right-winger with extravagant cross-field balls. Gannon eventually snapped him up in the summer of 2006 and, after making his bow for the club on the opening day of the 2006/07 season, Rose has been a regular at Edgeley Park ever since.
