A Blackpool rock in 2006/07, Jacko was equally as indomitable for Preston over seven years and will take no nonsense at New Meadow
Vastly experienced central defender Jackson arrived at New Meadow in June 2008 having appeared in more than 500 Football League matches.
The no-nonsense stopper started out at Crewe before joining Bury in August 1993, making more than 120 first-team starts for the Shakers.
A £125,000 move to Preston followed where he was again a rock at the heart of the back-line; over seven years, Jackson appeared in 280 games for North End, scoring 19 goals.
Another lengthy spell at Tranmere preceded his move to Blackpool in summer 2006, guiding the Seasiders to League One play-off final joy in his first season before helping them maintain their Championship status in 2007/08.
