The versatile fullback missed most of 2007/08 with a knee injury, but still got to face Barcelona in the Champions League
Wilson made the switch to Celtic Park in January 2006 for a fee of £500,000 after impressing in Dundee United’s run to the Scottish Cup final the previous season.
Since his move to Glasgow the highly-rated Scotland Under-21 full-back’s progress at Celtic has been hampered by injuries but, after missing the majority of the 2007/08 season with a knee injury, he returned to action in the club’s Champions League clash with Barcelona and forced his way back into first-team reckoning as Strachan’s men finally saw off rivals Rangers to claim the title.
