One of the best goals to games ratios in international football, however he struggles to match that in the football league
A well-travelled, leggy striker, McCammon would never claim to be the most prolific of frontmen – just 25 goals in nearly 200 league appearances by the start of the 2008/09 season – but he is a big, strong target man who can be particularly effective as a substitute.
He started his career with unsuccessful spells at Cambridge United and Charlton, before tasting regular football at Brentford, netting 15 goals in 80 games. He joined Millwall in March 2003 but scored only twice in 27 appearances before moving to Brighton for the 2005/06 season.
Again, goals were hard to come by and he headed north to Doncaster in August 2006. He has the honour of scoring the first ever goal at the Keepmoat Stadium, but after just four goals in Donny’s promotion season of 2007-08, he joined Gillingham on a three-year deal in July 2008. His international record is, in contrast, prolific: four goals in just two appearances for Barbados.
