Two loan spells with non-league sides Leigh RMI and Kidsgrove Athletic have helped to develop his all-round strength and it appears that he is now on the verge of staking a regular claim for a starting place in the Railwaymen’s line-up.
At 6ft tall Carrington is a rangy midfielder with an excellent engine that helps him get into some handy goalscoring positions. Mark Carrington could well emerge as a player to watch out for in the future.
