Striker

Moore, Moore, Moore: how does he like it? Much better in the Midlands than in Glasgow, by the looks of things

Luke is the younger brother of Stefan Moore, with whom he starred for the Aston Villa team that won the 2002 FA Youth Cup.

During four-and-a-half seasons in the senior squad at Villa Park, the England U21 international made 104 appearances for Villa’s first team, many from the bench - including his debut, in the white heat of the Second City derby against Birmingham. He scored 13 goals but never really established himself as a first-choice Villan.

In January 2008, the Birmingham-born striker spurned the chance to join Scottish giants Rangers, instead staying local by moving to West Brom on a three-month loan. At the end of the season, he completed a permanent switch to the Hawthorns for a fee of around £3.5 million.
