Nippy striker who came to prominence helping Reading into the top flight. Failed to nail down a place once the side were there
Former Chelsea trainee Lita made a big impression at first club Bristol City, bagging 38 goals in 100 games.
A hornet of a striker with bags of pace and no shortage of confidence, no matter how he performs, 5ft 7in Lita’s £1m switch to Reading in July 2005 paid immediate dividends: his 15 goals in 32 games helped the club up to the Premier League.
He never hit the same heights in the top flight, scoring just seven goals, and a fall-out with boss Steve Coppell resulted in the former England U21 player spending the latter half of the 2007-08 campaign on loan at Charlton.
