Defender

He's always there or thereabouts in the Championship promotion shake-up... or the top-flight fight to avoid relegation

Jordan Stewart has spent a lot of his career bobbing between the top two divisions.

He started out at Derby's fierce rivals Leicester City, making his debut against West Ham United in 2000, before going through two relegations with a promotion in the middle. After a loan period at Bristol Rovers, Stewart established himself in 2002/03 in the second tier.

A tall, powerful left-back, Stewart has a direct approach which has also been useful in the left-midfield position. He played less often in the Foxes' ill-fated 2003/04 top-flight campaign but was back in the saddle for the following season. He joined Watford for £125,000 in July 2005 and again became a regular as the Hornets were promoted, keeping his place the following season in the top flight and again in 2007/08 back in the Championship.

After racking up a century of appearances, he joined the Rams in the summer of 2008 on a three-year contract.

Cant defend to save his life.

He does have a bit of pace and his technique isn't bad.

Those little 'dinks/chips' that he does were really annoying and pointless.

For us he was usually average or poor although every now and then he'd put in a decent performance, glad we got rid though.

Ive heard that he has a big ego and is loud, bit of a joker to apparantly. Prob thinks he's better than he actually is.

Quick left-back, though he is attacking, his crossing isn't convincing, and seems not comfortable at all when trying to beat his man. He can beat players with pace, but probaly wouldn't win with pace in the high tempo game of the Premier League
