The Jamaican as an ever-present for Aldershot as they won promotion back to the football league last term.
Signed from Aldershot for £130,000 on a three-year deal in June 2008 much is expected of Grant at Crewe Alexandra.
The Jamaica Under-23 international began his career at Watford where he made nine first team appearances as a highly-rated scholar at Vicarage Road.
His career then stalled and at the start of the 2006/07 season he was allowed to leave for Aldershot. Grant enjoyed two excellent seasons with the Shots and helped them regain their Football League status in 2007/08 winning the Blue Square Premier title with ease.
Grant’s tremendous form attracted plenty of interest from league scouts but it was the Alex that snapped him up.
