One of a vast number of forwards under Brighton's banner. Has age on his side so may be wise to wait his turn
Son of former Brighton defender Steve and nephew of England cricket legend Mike Gatting, Joe has found first team opportunities hard to come by since making his debut against Southampton in January 2006.
A prolific scorer at youth team level, Gatting’s main strengths are his hold-up play and natural finishing ability but he has been mainly used a back-up in his fledgling career to date.
The youngster was farmed out to Woking during the 2007/08 campaign but will be hoping to forge his way into Micky Adams’ plans and improve on his current standing as the squad’s fifth choice striker.
