Roberts has generally scored goals wherever he's been. He may become frustrated if he's left on the bench for much longer
A prolific, pacy striker in his younger days with Bristol Rovers, West Brom and Wigan, Roberts formed a potent partnership with Nathan Ellington which fired the Latics to the Premier League in 2005.
He continued in the same vein during the club’s debut season, netting 14 goals and prompting Rovers to splash out £3m for the Londoner’s services in July 2006.
In two seasons at Ewood Park he has made just 20 league starts, with Benni McCarthy and Roque Santa Cruz taking centre stage, but while he is not as quick, he still has an eye for goal and has been a potent weapon from the bench, netting 19 goals by the end of the 2007-08 season.
