Having had his right wing position taken by his brother, Reid gave full-back ago and soon became a regular defender and scored two goals as a bonus
Having been handed his league debut by Paul Ince in December 2006, the former youth team trainee has gone on to become a useful player at the Moss Rose. He started his first-team career on the right wing, but was usurped by his elder brother Levi, who came in at the start of 2007/08 and took his sibling’s place.
However, showing his versatility, the younger Reid was soon back in the side as a marauding full-back, comfortable on the ball and with pace to burn. He scored two goals during 2007/08, including the winner away to a promotion-bound Peterborough United.
