Vastly experienced - but that didn't stop him ballsing up and concdeding one of the most hillarious goals ever to Robbie Keane in 2003
A keeper of vast experience, Bennett had spells with QPR and Newcastle before making his Football League debut with Peterborough United in 1991.
Tipped as a future England goalkeeper, he never quite lived up to that tag but played north of 350 games for Birmingham, whom he joined for £325,000 in 1993. In late 2004 he was borrowed by Sheffield United following an injury to Paddy Kenny.
In June 2005 he left St Andrews after 12 years to join Leeds United but having played second fiddle to Neil Sullivan, he moved to Bramall Lane in the summer of July 2006, to take up a similar role behind Kenny.
