The rock-solid centreback didn't get a sniff at Stamford Bridge and will be hoping to prove his worth at Leicester City
A no-nonsense centre-half very much in the John Terry mould, Worley joined Chelsea from the Stockport County youth ranks in the summer of 2005, a tribunal setting an initial transfer fee of £150,000.
Having turned pro that November he made his league debut on loan at Doncaster Rovers in March 2007 against Nottingham Forest and also had a spell at Carlisle United at the start of the 2007-08 campaign.
With the door seemingly closed at Stamford Bridge, he then joined Leicester on loan, making his debut against Sheffield United in April 2008, prior to signing a permanent deal the following month.
