Brighton's biggest investment in a quarter of a century. Dangerous from set-pieces as well with the ball at his feet
Brighton invested £300,000 to bring Murray to the club from Rochdale in January 2008 – more than they had spent on any single transfer for 25 years.
The Cumbrian arrived at the Withdean with a pedigree for scoring goals, having been a regular on the scoresheet for Carlisle and Stockport, before registering 21 goals in 42 games for Rochdale prior to his move south.
Strong in the air and comfortable on the ground Murray is an all-round striker with excellent potential. He made an instant impact on his Brighton debut scoring two goals against Crewe Alexandra and is expected to net many more in a Seagulls shirt.
