Midfielder

Eyebrows were raised when Pompey made Little their first summer signing of 2008, but Harry doesn't make bad signings. Well, not many...

A summer capture from Reading, the acquisition of the veteran right-winger may have surprised some, but such is Harry Redknapp’s transfer-market 'nous', who would question it?

Little, who loves to take opponents on before delivering teasing crosses, was a huge hit during eight years with Burnley before moving back to his native south to link up with Steve Coppell’s Royals.

Ironically, Coppell had released him as a teenager with Crystal Palace, but Little proved a mainstay of Reading’s Championship-winning side in 2005/06 side.

Although he missed a large part of the 2007/08 campaign with injuries, the rejuvenating south-coast air and the hand of Redknapp could prove a tonic.

The best crosser of the ball in the league, and IMHO the second best dribbler too. Ferguson described him as such. He tore up the league at Reading and was the main reason for their eighth place finish. Anything but average, shrimper, you have obviously never seen him play. The ball sticks to his feet, then he crosses like David Beckham. Legendary at Reading, arguably our best ever player.
