Former Wigan man 'Tealinho' will be hoping his upturn in form in 2009 can help continue Derby's resurgence
Born in Glasgow, the stocky winger started his career at Clydebank before joining Ayr United - where he played over 100 matches.
In 2001 he joined Wigan Athletic for a fee of £275,000 and became a key member of the side as the Latics moved up from English football's third tier to the Premier League by 2005.
In January 2007, with first team chances becoming limited by the arrival of Antonio Valencia - Teale moved to Derby County as the Rams pushed for promotion to the Premier League under Billy Davies.
He failed to cement a regular first team place either in the Championship or during the Rams' brief stay in the Premier League. Loan spells at Plymouth and Barnsley followed.
However the arrival of Nigel Clough at Pride Park saw Teale handed a new lease of life in the Derby side, with his improved performances winning over many Rams fans who had previously doubted him.
