Graduate of the Kilmarnock youth system has gone on to become mainstay of the side since his debut in 1999
A home-bred talent, Hay came up through the youth system to make his Killie debut in 1999-2000.
He has been a first-team regular since the following season, and can play left-back or in left midfield, where he excels at whipping in crosses and linking up with the attacking players.
Small but competitive, his experience and leadership qualities made him an obvious choice to take over as club captain during Gary Locke’s prolonged absence.
