Midfielder

Having cost £50,000 the 'Dutch Roy Keane' is probably closing in on a pound a tackle for the Swans

Bodde was signed from Swansea’s Dutch sister club Den Haag for £50,000 in June 2007, having made over 160 appearances in seven years.

A fiercely competitive central midfielder, strong in the tackle and with the ability to run all day, Bodde was known as ‘the Dutch Roy Keane’ at his first club. And Swans fans soon discovered why when he was red-carded twice in his debut season at the Liberty Stadium.

Despite that setback, he emerged as one of the driving forces behind the club’s promotion to the Championship in 2007/08 and during the summer of 2008 he was linked with a move to Derby County.

One of the best players in the Championship.

Definatly Premiership standard.

An 'all rounder.' Can pass well, scores goals, creative playmaker type.

Watched him many times, he's qualityand if he leaves the Swans (my local team) i hope he joins the Boro, cant see him leaving a Championship side for another Championship side though! :-(

Shame to lose him so early in the season, but in the games he did play he clearly proved himself to be the best player in this league. Watching some of his passes was worth the ticket price to the games alone

What a player.

If he was playing in the Premiership he would be in the Dutch national squad. That's not a word of a lie. He's a class above every single other player in this division.

His injury is the most damaging of hammer blows to our season.

His passing is incredible. It's the kind of thing you usually have to buy a Champions' League ticket to watch! His shooting is out of this world. He's already scored two goals from 45 yards or more this season!!!!!!

His tackling's strong, but sometimes a bit dirty.

He's not scared to let the opposition know he's about. He's dirty. I've seen plenty of games where he's given the opposition a little stamp as they're getting up.

He picks up the odd red card.

But he is class. And not class, as in Championship class, not class as in he should be in the Premiership class, but class as in he has the ability to play at the very highest levels.
