From Holland to Wales via Scotland... such is the peripatetic lifestyle of yer typical Facebook-dwelling former Dutch U21 goalkeeper
An extremely agile keeper whose reactions set him apart, the former Holland U21 international started his career with Stormvogels Telstar before switching to Den Haag in 2003.
Having replaced first-choice Roland Jansen, he remained at the club for three years before joining Scottish Premier League side Dunfermline Athletic. Unfortunately he couldn’t halt the Pars' slide into the First Division and, keen to remain playing at a high level, he left for Swansea in July 2007.
He went on to become a pivotal member of the Swans' promotion-winning side, featuring in every League One game in 2007/08.
