After having been shown interest by many world-class clubs, N'Guessan still chose Rangers, later realizing his mistake and changing directions to Lincoln City
N’Guessan joined the Imps in January 2007 from Rangers, having previously cost the SPL side £150,000 from Auxerre. He had been the subject of interest from a host of top-flight European sides in summer 2005 – including Valencia, Marseille and Manchester City – but he opted for Rangers and was soon regretting it.
Predominantly a powerful, pacy left-winger who can also operate on the opposite flank or up front, N’Guessan never made a first-team appearance for the Gers and after spending six months on loan at Boston United he moved to Sincil Bank. A productive first full season as an Imp in 2007/08 saw him make 37 league appearances, scoring eight times.
