Local lad Craig grew up honing his skills in Hereford before being scouted by Cardiff City where he remained for several years.
After returning home to join up with the Bulls’ youth setup, the left-winger and occasional striker burst on to the scene in 2007/08 – scoring goals for fun in a struggling United youth side – earning recognition from Bulls’ supremo Graham Turner who promoted him to the first-team on non-contract terms.
Jones was an unused substitute for Hereford twice in December 2007 with the squad decimated by injury before he made three appearances on loan for Bromsgrove Rovers towards the end of the campaign.
