Scored within 30 seconds of making his debut and followed this up with a hat-trick on the final day of the 2006-07 season
The Liverpool-born forward emerged from Tranmere’s youth ranks to make his debut for the club in a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Bristol City in January 2007 and hit the headlines on the final day of that season when he hammered a hat-trick for Rovers against Brentford at Prenton Park.
Since then, however, Curran has seen his first team opportunities limited under Moore and spent the majority of the following season warming the bench, enduring a lean spell spanning eight months after scoring in successive matches in September 2007. Great things are expected of him in the years ahead.
