He didn't make the grade at the Reebok but the pacy winger shone for the Iron and is impressing for the Cumbrians
Born in Leicester of Jamaican stock, Taylor began his career with Bolton Wanderers at the turn of the century but only featured as a sub in Sam Allardyce's much-changed FA Cup teams. After brief loan spells with Exeter and Scarborough, he joined Scunthorpe on free transfer in March 2004.
A pacy and skilful wide man, Taylor soon became a firm favourite at Glanford Park and made more than 180 appearances for the Iron, helping the club earn promotion to the Championship in 2007. He signed for Carlisle in the January transfer window in 2008 for £50,000.
