The scorer of the goal that earnt the Baggies a place in the Premier League, Burnt will hope he has more memorable moments in 2008/09
The former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder has become known for having a lethal left foot, and has scored some screamers in the past three seasons including a near halfway line effort for the Owls against Leeds at Elland Road.
Brunt started as a trainee at Middlesborough but moved to Hillsborough in April 2004. He was part of the squad that got promoted to the Championship that season. He was an integral part in the club’s 2006/07 season scoring ten goals in 44 games which helped them to an amazing fourth in the league.
In August 2007 Brunt signed a four year deal costing West Brom £3m. His equalising goal against Southampton in April 2008 sent West Brom fans delirious as they were secured promotion to the Premier League because of their superior goal difference.
He has made 18 appearances for Northern Ireland with his debut away to Switzerland in August 2004.
