Whilst being able to adapt to many positions, Charlie Lee also made a big impression in his Peterborough debut
The London-born midfielder was one of the finds of the season after signing a three-year deal with Posh in May 2007. Capable of playing in both midfield and defence, Lee’s all-action style immediately made him a crowd favourite at London Road, with his eight goals from midfield also contributing hugely to the clubs successful 2007/08 season.
Lee began his career at Spurs, and made his debut for the club in a UEFA Cup tie against Portuguese side Sporting Braga in September 2006. He made his Peterborough debut against Southampton in a 2-1 League Cup victory in August 2007, and scored his first goal for the club in a 3-2 defeat to Chesterfield shortly after.
