Savage is famed for his moonwalking skills, although that’s probably all he has in common with Michael Jackson. Thankfully…
Savage began his career at Reading, before spending time at a host of Football League clubs, including Wycombe, Bury, Bristol City and Gillingham.
The London-born striker arrived at Millwall from Brighton on a short-term contract in February 2008 and immediately impressed with his ability to trouble League One defences.
He was handed his debut by Kenny Jackett in a 1-1 draw with Luton Town and was able to offer Lions’ fans the first glimpse of his famous moon-walk goal celebration two weeks later as he scored the only goal of the game at Yeovil’s Huish Park.
However, despite impressing at Millwall, he was soon on the move again - joining Tranmere on a two year deal in the summer on 2008.
