Traore could be mistaken as a clone for team-mate Gael Clichy – not just in appearance – but also in his style of play
Parisian-born Traore is an athletic defender very much in the mould of current Arsenal left-back Gael Clichy. The full-back joined the Gunners from AS Monaco in August 2006 and made his first team debut in the Carling Cup against West Brom in October of that year.
He policed Arsenal’s left flank for the rest of the Cup run, right up until the final, which the Gunners lost to Chelsea 2-1.
Armand has represented France at various youth levels and is a current fixture in the U19 team.
Bursting with power, pace and technical ability Traore will be hot on the heels of Clichy as he continues to progress under Arsene Wenger’s tutelage.
