Lacking in years, lacking in inches but makes up for it with bags of enthusiasm. Looking for a break-out year in 2008-09
The pint-sized winger, with bags of pace and enthusiasm, made his Clarets debut in the final home game of the 2007-08 season against Cardiff City.
Replacing Wade Elliott with 11 minutes remaining, he made an immediate impression, claiming an assist for Clarke Carlisle's equaliser in a 3-3 win.
He then played 20 minutes of the final game of the season against Crystal Palace and he will be hoping to make further inroads during the 2008-09 season. Youth team Player of the Year MacDonald can also operate as a striker, a position he has featured in for the Clarets' junior side.
