Former captain was a key player for the R’s before falling out of favour with new coach Luigi De Canio
Bolder began his career with hometown club Hull City, joining Derby County in March 2000 after just 20 first-team appearances.
Some 14 months later, he made his debut against Manchester United at Old Trafford, going on to play 180 games as a no-nonsense central midfielder who loved to break forward and join the attack.
He arrived at Loftus Road in January 2007, where his added steel and range of passing helped the club steer clear of relegation.
Named club captain, he netted his first goal for the R’s against Charlton in October 2007 to lift the club off the foot of the table, but found himself out of favour under new coach Luigi De Canio and spent the end of the season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday.
